Direct selling

Sell through people without replacing the back office

Your organisation already lives somewhere. The platform works directly against it — reading it from there and sending changes back — and puts the shop, the seller links and the crediting on top. Your sellers get something new, and nobody has to move the organisation first.

The organisation

Two questions about one person

Who enrolled them, and who is their sponsor. Most of the time it is the same person, but often enough it is not — and then both answers have to exist when somebody asks why a payout came out the way it did.

Every customer shows sponsor and «enrolled by» side by side. When a customer has to move, you pick a new sponsor, and the move is recorded on the customer's timeline.

You decide whether a sponsor may be somebody other than the enroller, whether a new customer must say who enrolled them, and whether customers can be moved at all.

Kari Jonas Mette
Ola Sara enrolled by Kari Nils Tove Erik
Sara has Mette as her sponsor and was enrolled by Kari. An entirely ordinary situation — and a system storing only one of the two cannot tell you so.

Crediting

The right seller gets the order

Every order shows who it is credited to. If that is wrong, you change it right there — and the change is recorded on the timeline, with who it went from and who it went to.

Who gets the credit is something you choose in settings:

  • The customer's sponsor — the safe choice, and the one a shop starts with. A link credits nobody unless you say so.
  • The link — the seller whose link the customer came in through.
  • The link, when the customer has no sponsor — for new customers arriving through a seller.

An order credited to nobody is not quietly credited to the buyer's sponsor. That has to be switched on too.

Volumes

And the figures people are paid from

CV and PV sit next to the price on every product, per customer type. Which volume types the shop has is yours to decide.

At the bottom: 0 is a figure somebody set — the item awards nothing. Empty is a figure nobody has set yet. On a figure people are paid from those are not the same, and the screen shows the difference.

From link to order

A link with the seller's own name in it

Kari shares theshop.com/kari from her phone. That is her web alias, and it is set on the customer in the admin. This is what happens next:

  1. The link opens the shop

The address points at Kari, not at a page. If you want, her name is shown in the shop, so the customer sees who sent them.

  2. The visit is remembered

The rest of the shop knows who referred the visitor. You choose how many days the link is remembered, and whether the first or the last link counts.

  3. The order is credited

At checkout the platform records who the order is credited to, by the rule you chose. If it found nobody, the order says it is credited to nobody.

  4. And it can be corrected

A credit can be changed afterwards on the order, by somebody allowed to. Every change is on the timeline.

Questions

What decides whether this fits

Do you calculate our commissions?

No. The platform holds what the commission plan calculates from: who sits where, which order is credited to whom, and CV and PV on every product. The plan itself runs where it runs today — in Exigo or in the system you use.

Our tree is in Exigo. What then?

Then the platform works directly against Exigo. Customers, orders, products, prices, volumes and the organisation are read from there, and changes you make in the admin — a new customer, a new sponsor, a price, an order — are sent to Exigo through Exigo's own API. More of Exigo is being connected as we go.

Where Exigo has nowhere to keep something, the admin says so, rather than pretending it was saved.

Can we run without the organisation part?

Yes. Direct selling is a separate part of the platform. A shop without it sees none of the screens, fields or settings on this page.

Bring your organisation

Especially if it does not look like an ordinary tree. Those are the cases we both learn most from.
